evry moment slips
like seeds out of palm
i gently pressed it
it rugged the fingertips
I let it go
they fall bounce and fall away
i let them go
in holding them i could hold nothin
in letting them go i am left with nothing
and in nothing when i let go of search for something
it is then i shall get something
something i do not know
something which could be nothing
nothing which they say is everything
where will i be in this nothing
watching, shivering trembling
watching like the paddy seeds
carried away by the wind
i will be watching
in the trembling of heart
i would be looking
i would be looking where i live
and in there would be left a few seeds
seeds i would gather and put on my palms
and let the palm stretch
for seeds to fall and fall away
for seeds to grow into the new trees
the new trees to give the new seeds
i would be watching still
i would be watching with trembling heart
for in all the timelessness
and i all the elusive sense of time
it will be only the beating of a nervous heart
that will tell you i am alive
that will tell me this time counts
that will tell me i walk along
that will tell me i dont have too much time
that will tell me i too am a seed
seed someone held on its palm and let go
that the seed i have let go has a beating heart
it is its beating heart it is listening and counting
it is in listening to our beating hearts
that we are able to listen to the universal rhythm
which makes for all the beating hearts
makes them take a separate not
but binds them together in a harmony
they go they fall they step out of tune
but little they know they never go out of the music
