ये जिंदगी है मस्का…

ऐ जाने वाले कहाँ जायेगा
दूर तक यूहीं दौड़ लगाएगा
मेरी बात जो नहीं मानेगा
मुफ्त मुसीबत सर लायेगा

आजा थोड़ी चिलम पीते हैं
ठस करते हैं, बकर करते हैं
इज्ज़त, दुनिया की उतारें
अपनी तहस – नहस करते हैं

मुफ्तखोरी की लत लगा
और हरामखोरी का चस्का
दुनिया सारी चूतिया है
जिंदगी यही है मस्का
भैये, ये जिंदगी है मस्का

Lazy winter warm…

oh! the lazy winter warm
wrapped in it I have become
poly-bag filled with water!

you can roll my body around
but pick it up you can’t
lift it from the head
and my bottom goes heavy
make it go upside down
and the head gets aching

open, unfinished books
strewn clothes, cobwebs
stained sheet, mocking clock
ah! reality has just no charm

oh! the lazy winter warm!

Sleepless nights…

Sleepless nights,

it is not often
that i get
sweet and sour
sleepless night

I have slept often
sound and snoring
but still getting up
to a nagging feeling
“did i just had
a sleepless night?”

It is not often
that I sleep so deep
that I miss you not
o! sleepless night

I often wonder
before I close my eyes
in the momemntbetween
light and darkness
if tonight again
I will have
a sleepless night

to keep these worries
and other such thoughts
at bay
I let myself,
think of you
and it is then
that i know
I am going to have
another sweet and sour
sleepless night

a shivering bird
wet feathers
shrugged and flew
for the blue sky
wings spread
into the vastness

Gentle stream,
a serene pond,
simple images
an honest heart
thick green forest,
an arrow left
killed the deer

hunted and the hunter
meet in silence
faint whispers
I killed you
and shall eat you
do not dispair
you have to suffer
have to let you
let us do it
in silence

she closed her eyes
I opened mine
and stared across
the empty space
you lay next
I felt scared
didnt wake you
for I knew
we are but
shivering pigeons
trembling deer
in the cloak of

it knows
without saying
everything we know
and beyond
like the sky
where all birds fly

when you asked
the next morning
what is it
on my mind
said nothing
you said
“I am so shy”

my dear
it is so
because I know
the unsaid silence
is better than
answering your “why”

I am waiting
for you to join
where I am sitting
alone in the company
of our sweet little
